Still Life Paintings by Robin Lucile Anderson










Robin Lucile Anderson's love of art began at the age of six, when hermother handed her a piece of paper and pencil, expecting childishscribbles in return. An hour later, Robin handed back a detailed sketch of alittle girl waiting for a train, much to her mother's amazement.Robin's formal training began at Moorpark Jr. College, in California, whereshe studied watercolor and acrylic painting. Her studies continued at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she receivedadvanced placement. She began her art career by painting commissionedportraits in watercolor, but soon moved on to architectural illustration,which provided more stability.Robin has always loved the rich colors of oil painting, which led her tostudy with Jim Smyth at the Palo Alto Cultural Center in Palo Alto,California. Oil proved to be the perfect medium for combining her artistictalents with her great love of flowers. Her floral still life paintings sell well atLu Martin Galleries in Laguna Beach and have been featured in AmericanArtist magazine. She is also represented by Applejack Publishing andLicensing Agency.Robin currently resides in Southern California, where she enjoys gardeningand working both as a fine artist and architectural illustrator
