Watercolors Paintings by Kimberly Meuse

Born and raised in the Midwest, Ms. Meuse won her first major art competition at the age of nine. After studying art at the Des Moines Art Center and Iowa State University, she moved to New England where she worked as art director at a television station in New Hampshire. Kimberly transitioned from traditional graphic design to work in the field of computer graphics design, becoming an award winning computer graphics illustrator.

Over time, Ms. Meuse returned to her life's love of painting. Her first work earned Best of Show in the 1990 Connecticut Classic Arts show.

Since then, she has received the Connecticut Watercolor Society First Place award (2003, 2004, 2006), awards in the Connecticut Women Artist shows, Catherine Lorillard Wolfe shows in NYC, American Artist Professional League shows in NYC, Grumbacher Gold Award (2002), the Arches and Rives Paper award (1991), the Windsor Newton Award (1999), and additional Connecticut Classic awards in 1991 and 1994.

Now nationally-known, her work is displayed in galleries across the United States and has been exhibited in shows presented by Connecticut Watercolor Society, Connecticut Women Artists, the Housatonic League Art Show, the Newtown Society of Creative Arts, and presently her work is being shown at Uptown Gallery on Madison Avenue in NYC, and the Sherry French Gallery in the Chelsea section of NYC
