He displays remarkable mastery of oil painting using the thick dimension of the palette knife. He has been developing this unusual, dimensional approach since childhood. The visceral quality that comes from applying oils with the palette knife is as deep as the look it creates on the canvas. The fractured, beveled surface displays colors in a unique way, transforming the painting as the light of day changes. It engages artist and appreciator on a deeper emotional level that is compelling and magical
Each piece I create is about the being "in the moment", about mixing the emotions that inspire me with that which is seen. My goal is to take the familiar and expand its color and energy to it's fullest potential

BIO
Scott Anderson was born in Oahu, Hawaii and grew up in northern California. Surrounded by art from the start, his mother was a graduate of the San Francisco Art Academy and an accomplished artist
Scott studied art at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, earning degrees in illustration and fine art. Scott also studied art at the University of Chico, as well as in Italy and around Europe
Scott has polished his unique composition design within the virtual worlds of creative imagination and the graphics of video games. Few, if any, artists have the unique merging of talents that are expressed in his classical impressions through art and computer imagery
